Seasons and cycles

I picked this title from a list of ten for my final A-level examination piece. I decided to show the four seasons of the year with the cycle of human life. Birth in spring with a rising figure surrounded by eggs. Bright fruit for the summer with a figure at its peak reaching upwards. Autumnal leaves surround the tired resting figure in autumn. Winter has icy rocks and a reclining dying figure. Then the cycle goes back to spring. I wanted each season to lead on to the next, therefore each figure is facing towards the next season.

Each sector of a circle represents a different season of the year. The colourings reflect those traditionally associated with each season.
